Just when you thought CVO's were top of the line Harleys, Thus demanding big buck$. Well think again-I'm sure some of you guys have heard of this Special Edition Bike called the Solar Eclipse, Seen it for the First time in Seminole Harley when I stopped in to get some oil filters today. Beautiful bike Everything Screamin Eagle just like a CVO but with a "limited Production Number" 99 of 400. Now there is no denying Harleys aint cheap, We all know that, But when the Salesman told me how much this thing cost I nearly hit the floor! He said they started with 2 of them- A Road Glide{ Which sold on Bike Week- Not surprised} and this Street Glide. I'm sure someone will buy this eventually just like somebody bought the Road Glide version but You gotta wonder is this Bike Really worth that much?? Just because its a limited Edition? Anyone wanna Guess how much? $$$

So is that the "HD Paint Shop" limited production tins, or is it different then the black/white set offered for this year? Kinda looks like a CVO with those tins and a few more goodies. Anyone else seen one of these? I'm probably wrong but it appears to be a "special model" that the dealer created. It'll be interesting to get some facts in about it. I'd guess the price would be about $15k over a regular CVO as that paint set alone is about $9k if I remember correctly

$52k..... The dealers that get these paint sets are then instructed by MoCo to toss in a bunch of bolt ons to jack the price even more.
what I think is even worse, after asking that much for it, they don't even give you the old take off parts. f-em. if i'm paying retail for the bike, plus retail for the add-on paint set, I fully expect to have 2 paint sets. (which btw runs about $10g for the complete set, with extended saddlebags, tourpack, and lowers). i'd also want all the other take-offs as well.

The one I saw looks like a CVO has a 110SE engine bolt on tins and a handful of other goodies bars etc.

Another money grab aimed at those customers who always have to have the latest and greatest and can afford it. That's almost as bad as paying $40.50 for a T-shirt at the local shop. I purchased 2 shirts, the first one was $30.00, which is ridiculously high but you get numb to paying $25-30 for their Tees. I didn't look at the price of the second one until she rang them up and it was $80. with tax for the 2 shirts! I couldn't believe it. I'll surely check the price tags next time I'm in there. I usually only buy about 5 HD or event shirts per year, so I don't get way bothered when I pay $28-32 for one. But in what Universe is a silk screened T-shirt worth over $40.?! Fool me once .......

Odd that it's a limited number (400) but I've seen 3 in the last month. Montgomery has 28/400. Odd thing is I saw one in Pensacola this week and it was 19/400/but they didn't blacken everything out. Still had chrome pipes and covers. Haven't priced any of them but like the paint. Skunk is still my favorite RG paint to date.

I saw the one in Pensacola last week and the sales guy said it was around $40k but it didn't have a new 110. It was just the new paint set with upgraded speakers. Not too much else. They went to check out my Skunk as I was at the parts counter and tried to get me to trade it in. I said no thanks and they couldn't believe I had 63k on the odometer.

We dont go in Montgomery very often , maybe once a year , didn't notice that one last week , but they had a lot of RG's in there , and now they aren't even hanging the price tags on them anymore .. None had price tags .. I don't have much use for them anyways ..

For 63 , I'd be skeered to ride it ..
