does anyone here know if mods have to be made to accomodate the o2 sensors on a 2011 RG. for the new thundermaxx TBW i know the 09s had the big sensors up high by the exhaust port. on mine 2011 there smaller and located by the tranny cover i guess what iam asking is the o2 sensors on the TBW thundermaxx the small ones or the big ones cuz i dont want to make any mods to my exhaust as far as o2 sensor bungs any advise from anyone.
thanks

I hope this is correct, from my research the O2 sensors are the large ones. If you notice they don't show 2011 in their info yet. When talking to the shop about installing it he suggested that I get headers for 09' so I would have the right sensor ports. I have also seen on here that someone makes an adapter to go from smaller to larger port. One reason for considering changing you headers would be to get the catalytic converter out. It is such a heat generator only #2 in burning you up to running a lean mix.

Sorry, I missed that. I am glad you have brought this up because I am in the process of creating my shopping list for add ons to the RGU when I purchase and even though they may know I would like to have the right part numbers. I am putting V&H Dresser Duals on and don't know if I need the 09' or 10' set. I will contact Zippers and find out if it is the 09' larger or the 10' smaller ports that arte needed and post my findings.

u can either buy a 09 head pipe or buy 18mm exhaust bungs and have them welded in as i did. actually it wasnt to difficult i bought a standard straight bung for the rear exhaust u will need a 90 degree bung for the front. with the pipes on i super glued the bungs where i wanted them and then took the exhaust off. once off i took a sharpie black marker and circled around the bung once i out lined the bungs i removed the bungs. once removed i had a step drill thats looks like a xmas tree i center punched the marked holes and then drilled a pilot hole 1/8 inch. then i took the step drill bit and drilled the holes to fit the bungs and i glued them on again. took the head pipes in and had them tig welded $20.00 to weld them on. i had to do this cuz my bike is a 2011 and it had the 11mm bungs down by the tranny cover. very easy to do the thundermax was very easy to install took about 25 minutes to install the ecm and the wide band sensors. the mapping was easy find one close to your set up and your done. hope this helps.
