I have been looking at aftermarket options that are narrower than stock and sit at stock ride height or lower.

I read on a ton of seats and some people says they are same as stock height and then read someone else saying rides higher.

Any shorter riders who would actually notice this with seats that offer this and some feedback positive/negative.

I have the 1" shock relocator installed already and do not want to be any higher for sure, lower if possible and definitely narrower in thigh area will help.

Short list:

Saddlemen Dominator
Badboys cyclez Python
C&C sport tour
La Pera Maverick (can't add backrest though)
Corbin Gunfighter and Lady

Prefer a seat I can have a backrest on, prefereably a stock style and not added into the seat but not against it.

I'm used to a firmer seat ran the C&C sport tour on all my softails. I just don't know how much it would push me away from the bars.

Well. Not meaning to add to the list. I was looking at the Mustang but the dealer does not have a demo in yet. Decided to get the Sundowner for now while I have my 2016 seat reworked to fit. The Sundowner has a narrower front so I am not spread out like a cheerleader. 29” inseam. Better padding than stock and back portion more comfortable. Dealer sold at $400 and I figured if I changed I would send it to Mean City and have it redone. Really liked how stock looked but after 100 miles I was worn out. So far not had any problems with this for a HD seat. Also the dealer said Hammock is a bad word now and constantly being returned.

I like the look of the Gunfighter/Lady pretty good, just cant find anything about them being stock height or not.

Will read up on the Corbin Dual tour as well there is one local to me to for about $300 less than buying it new.

From some research it looks like they will make it however you want it, sent them an email about having one made for me at either stock height or maybe even half an inch lower.

I am waiting on Corbin to email me back but think I am going to go with the Gunfighter and Lady heated version. As long as it sit at or under stock seat height I would be fine.

The gunfighter is a little narrower than the Dual Tour 13" vs 14.5 that looks to be the only difference for the rider area other than 1/2 shorter back wall. The used dual tour that's around 2 hrs from me is not heated but its listed for a pretty good price at $550.

Will do some debating on whether to buy the lightly used dual tour or hold off and order the Gunfighter/Lady with heat or even without heat.

Good to know, as long as it sits at least as low as stock height and looks to be narrower it will be better than the stock seat is right now.

My buddy couldnt setup a time to get it so will still be looking I guess.

Its a 5 hr round trip, may try to go this weekend and see if it sits me where I want. If so I'll get it, if not i'll know how to trll them to modify the one I order.

Or I might ride to daytona e weekend and test both the dual tour and G/L.

I'm finding so far the Corbin Dual Tour seems to sit me maybe a tiny bit lower than stock, but I'm still trying to get used to it. It's not a lot to be sure.

I have 3 Corbins All are the dual tours 1 on a 2000 Electraglide a 02 FatBoy and now my 24 Road Glide.
they all are the “Standard”. They all are a little lower also narrower in the thigh area.

I had a gunfighter and lady on my 02 FatBoy and it was fine for me however the lady part didn’t work for my Lady 😿…. I now have the dual tour and have to say it is even better for me.. I gave it to a friend who was looking for a solo seat for his FatBoy and he’s been happy with it and his wife can ride with him in a pinch.

Riding friday or saturday to test ride the dual tour I found for sale.

He said to just give it a test ride and if its too far back bit I like it have corbin make me one, if it fits me I can buy it.

Really appreciate him letting me take it for a spin and no pressure to buy if it didnt ft me right. Said he's had Corbins on every bike and loves them. He swapped over to a dual tour close up.

As long as its low enough and not too far back im going to ride on it back home with the stock seat strapped to sissy bar.

He sent me pictures of it on his cvo and it looks really good.

Along with pictures of him on it, he is an inch taller and an inch more inseam. Looks like it would fit me fine so hopfully I will be on a new to me Corbin dual tour.

Notice today how much my seat sinks in and back when I sit on it. Could use a good bit firmer seat and a backrest.

Used to my C&C Sport Tour from my Heritage and its really firm and supportive.

I have also emailed C&C about having another seat made if the Corbin Dual Tour doesn't feel right for me.

I have had 3 C&C Sport tours on other bikes and really liked them. However, they were all for softails but I liked the feel of them on any ride over 100 miles vs stock. Stock seat sinks in too much over time and I get the butt burn, also like to have a butt chanel,

Would opt for a square back this time if the dual tour doesn't pan out.

Square back with large double diamond on front and back, butt chanel, and back rest chanel, also inquiring if it is a lower position. ALl of the others I ordered were about 1" lower than the stock seat and fit up against the frame really well.

Going saturday to test ride it, hopefully its like the C&C, I prefer the firmer ride so I dont sink in. I like to be able to do long stretches when I am in a trip.

Get the butt burns on stock seat and I think its from sinking to the pan after an hour or so. And there is just no support on the back area.

I like the badboys but even their standard is looks to be almost an extended reach for me from the measuements.

I am riding 3 hrs one way this morning to test out this Corbin Dual Tour.

If I like the position I will buy it and if not atleast I know what to tell Corbin to change when I order. I may need a close up, lower position or some other positioning change.

It sits me a tiny bit lower and nothing noticeable as far as further back.

Rode 135 miles there no stops, put it on and as soon as I sat on it knew I was buying it.

Threw it on and rode to augusta and now heading back home. Stopped off for lunch but it is an extremely noticeable difference.

It is less firm than the C&C sport tours I have had in the past and in a good way.
