Always pays to check the bed between the mattress and box springs, regardless of which hotel/motel. I've been doing it for years. Never had any problems yet (knock on wood) but I know people that have.

And I never sit luggage on the floor.

Man what a picky M-Fer. I think thats the registry Rufus used to pick the hotels. You can get a much better rate at these fine establishments and the little fella's don't eat much. What, did the OL say you ain't to share your bed with anybody or anything while you're on the road?? Pfffft!

Im hopin' though the old sayin holds true, what happens on the road or in the case, what you pick up on the road, stays on the road LL

 

I check reviews on several websites (google, trip advisors, etc) before booking a room. I will definitely add this one to the list....thanks Dan! AND, before I take anything into the room, I pull back the sheets on check the mattress itself.

I love the reviews, how can one place be both hell on earth and paradise at the same time?? Some people's expectations are certainly interesting..........

 

I'm looking at paradise right now. I'll check the site when I get home. Not enough rum here if I see the place listed.

I always carry Lysol with me when traveling, maybe I ought to get some bed bug killer also.

I've read where a dryer sheet in your luggage will keep the bugs away. I have noticed at a few hotels where there's been a dryer sheet in between the mattress and box spring.

 

I actually read that as well someplace. I might have to try it!

 

I'm laying in a hotel bed right now while reading this. It's creepy.
