Back in August of this year I purchased a D&D Pushbutton Starter and have been extremely happy with it.
A few days ago the red light started flickering while riding.
Then the next day the red light went completely out. At first, I was weary thinking I might lose power but that did not happen.
I figured oh well no big deal and it being a Saturday who could I contact.
On Sunday night, I figured why not send an email to D&D Custom and see if this is an issue and if they might have a fix. I figured they would receive it first thing Monday and maybe I would get a response early in the week.
Well to my surprise within the hour I received an email from Dave Dupor telling me that this had never happened before and to send him the information on the purchase.
After a couple of back-and-forth emails with the info Dave requested, he emailed me and said he would be sending me a new switch in the morning.
Now how's that for Customer Service!
I made all the suggestions Dave asked for and could not be happier with him.
It's Companies like Dave's that need Our Endorsements for Everyone to see.
Thank You Dave Dupor, You are Amazing!

I also run the DD push button starter and it has so far worked flawlessly….. But I’ll also give my kudos for Dave as he also did me a solid after I ordered flush-mount turn signals from him. The same evening after I placed the order Dave called me to say it’d be a couple weeks before they had them back in stock and did I want to wait. It was somewhat coincidental I guess, because TBH I was having second thoughts since ordered them and deciding I wanted to stay with the OE signals…. So I told Dave to just cancel the order, which he did with me on the phone, and I got a notification from my card company the next morning confirming the refund. I’ve since ordered a couple other things from DD when I could have got them elsewhere, but wanted to give Dave my business……. Also, check out the builds on his website as he does superb custom work…..

It's reviews like that that the aftermarket small businesses depend on. 'Good on ya' for sharing your experience Mike, and another "good on ya!" to D&D for the outstanding 'after the sale' service. I've always believed throughout my sales and marketing career, that the quality of a product, combined with the sales/after sales customer service are the two most important factors in people's judgements as to whether to purchase or recommend a particular brand of product again.

Great customer service, but I have to ask what’s wrong with the push button starter on the handlebars?

I received an email from Dave Dupor early this morning informing Me that He shipped a new button.
My reply to him was to thank him and to let him know that I posted on Our Great Forum about how well He stands behind His products and how well He has taken care of Me.
I would not hesitate to do business with Him in the future.

So, how does it work? Do you still need to push the starter button on the handlebars or does this eliminate that as well? I'm guessing it does since it lights up. Can you still lock the forks?

I read their website, and it eliminates the fork lock, and you still use the push button on the right bar.

Product Description: The latest in custom parts being designed and built by Dave Dupor, the new Illuminated Push Button ON/OFF Illuminated Switch. Remove the bulky 1990’s Ignition assembly with this hot new clean look. Available in Chrome or black with all necessary step by step instructions, resistors, all relays, and connections are all complete for a true plug and play application. The fork lock will NO longer work. Ideal for bikes with a keybob / security systems that will not allow the bike to start even with the push button in the ON position. IF you do not have a key fob, you can always install a toggle switch wired in series to the ground wire located in a secret location that only you know where it is located to kill the power to the bike (not included in the kit). YOU STILL USE THE HANDLEBAR START BUTTON, etc…. this only turns all the power on for the bike. You will ONLY have an ALL ON position now, you no longer have the ACC (Accessory position). This kit was designed as a “Custom” addition to your bike and is intended for “show or off road applications”

As stated previously….. 🫵

The button takes the place of the knob and you no longer have accessory mode or a fork lock. The switch on the handlebar still works although I leave it on and shut the bike on and off with that new button, same as I did with the old knob….. I have the alarm siren and never used the fork lock. I also never used accessory mode. For overnight motel parking I carry a disk lock same as I always have…..

KST did the same to me ,about chrome coming off attachment bar. Called me immediately and told me they were trying different chrome shops at the time and had some troubles with chrome processes. He apologized for the trouble and sent me a new one, just like that. Thats what I call customer service.
