I recently got my bike back from the shop where the engine was rebuilt due to a bad connecting rod/sissoring flywheel. I had them upgrade to a S&S flywheel which was welded/balanced, and also the case was machined and the timken bearings were installed.
I've noticed now that there is a definite vibration coming thru both floorboards. Kind of annoying and I don't remember this vibration before. I checked the floorboard fastners and all are nice and tight. I noticed in the service manual, that when you take apart the floorboards, the manual states to install "new" floorboard inserts, the rubber mat part of the floorboard. I don't think this was done but I don't think they fully took apart the floorboards, maybe just took the whole floorboard assembly off. The vibrations are pretty equal on the right and left side, leading me to believe that the engine just puts out more vibrations. I'm gonna check the engine mounts as well.
Any ideas on this vibration?
