I would like to see some pics too.

Put the deflectors on my 09 - took off the two plastic safety recall deals and installed in about 20 minutes or less. Used zip tie to hold to crash bar for added safety to ensure the things stay put. Don't expect much but anything is welcome. :D

Using them for years

I have been using these for years they really make a differance, if you had the tank recall they wont fit right so I just had my stealer skip it.... what a fiasco it was like trying to bribe the president.

I got a set of the Air Deflectors (29.92) yesterday and installed them based on the feed back from this thread. My parts Guy at the Dealer talked me out of them right after I got the bike saying he did not think they worked.

Again , I have to thank this forum and members for all of the great info that is shared here. These Deflectors may not work for everyone , based on rider size, windshields etc but in my case they are great!

I was happy with the air management on my Glide that I had with the Cee Bailey TRSSC shied, no real buffeting up 85+ and able to adjust or remove my glasses up to 65 without any problems.

I went to a strech of back road near my house and made a few runs at 65 -75 -85 with and without the radio on and then snapped on the Deflectors. What I noticed immediatly was a larger "sweet spot" of quiet air in and around me. The radio became a lot more clear and louder at all speeds and I was able to reduce the volumne.

For less than $ 30.00 these things work great for me on my bike! I also drilled a hole in the bottom section and added a zip tie arround the Engine Guard to be sure they dont fall or get knocked off in the future.

On a side note Id like to thank the OP of this thread Jeff Quinn, Ive followed your reviews on the web for a few years and you have helped me to make some excellent firearms decisions and purchases. Thank you

Just did 100 interstate miles and I "think" they work. I noticed that my sunglasses didn't bounce around as much and the music was clearer; that was with the wind to my back. Coming back, 20 mph headwind, at 85mph my glasses were shaking pretty good. I saw several bugs or debris shoot straight up from the deflectors but the air around the tank was calm. I'm hoping that the deflectors shoot the air high enough to pass over my passenger's head, otherwise she gets pretty good buffeting. I have the Sancho wings and a 14" WindVest with recurve but she still says it sucks. Hope these deflectors do the trick - otherwise she doesn't want to ride. :(

My local dealer did the tank recall fix. I had to grind the tank mount portion of the air deflectors to get them to fit. The deflectors mount at about the same angle as those mounted on a R.G. at the dealer. They helped. I am still going to get Sancho's Wings.
I have a 10 inch Long Ride Windshield, with a curve at top.
The windshield and deflectors have helped.
I think Sancho's Wings will finish the job of getting rid of the wind turblence and noise.

Just got mine today, weather turning tonight, so may a few days til the test. Appreciate everyone's comments..This thread is what trigger me to buy them.

Well joke ,you can always get the Goldwing style shield. I guarantee she will be comfy then. I had one on my 96 Tour glide . It not only protected you and your passenger but the bike following behind you to . lol

What wind deflector's are you talking about I thought your where talking about Sancho wings, but this sounds like something else.
and no thanks on the Honda part's.
Deflectors fit under/forward of tank off the engine guard..part numbers 57780-11 and 57781-11 (left and right)

Look at the third post in this thread for pictures of the parts. These parts are standard on 2012 RGU's but I have heard of many people who got 2012's that did not have the deflectors installed. Bad dealer assembly.

The reason...

I tried a set on my 08 and they didnt seem to make much difference....

I think the reason MOCO came out with these is that the fairing was tilted more forward on '10 and above allowing more air to come up from below. Could be wrong but makes sense to me....

It seems to work for more of the 10 and above owners..... or am I missing something?

I surely don't have those on my 2012. hmmmmm

But since I have the lowers on order, is it worth getting them? Are they easy to take on and off, so that I can remove them in the winter when I put the lowers on?
