Tallboy Bars (55800550A) are 36” wide. This is not stated on the product description on the HD site. 😤

I recently ordered a set for my 2017 RGU and was disappointed to learn these bars are 3.5” wider than the stock bars. This is a bit too wide for filtering (lane splitting) in the UK.

Can anyone recommend a set of 32” wide, 14” high bars that would work instead?
Thanks!

I installed the Harley-Davidson TallBoy Handlebars on my 2021 Road Glide Standard. I did a YouTube Video of the installation. I took a picture of both handLenard together. The difference is very small. Are you sure you purchased the Harley-Davidson Tallboy Bars and not different bars?

You can look at my video too.

3.5 wider? I came up with 2" wider than my special and can live with one inch extra on each end.

But yeah, if 1.75" is how close you clear vehicles you might want bars within the width of the fairing and bags.

For lanesplitting i'd go with what all the cool cats in California are running risers with drag bars or mx bars.

A Thrashin’ style setup was my first choice, but the cost, the obscuring of the clocks and the fact it is an Ultra, rather than a Special put me off. I’ll see how I get on with stock HD bars for now.

Ok so to ask again how are you measuring it? The listed measurements would be for a naked bar. Are you measuring with grips installed? If so what kind of grips? It seems to be next to impossible that the installation of grips would add three and a half inches to width measurements unless something was installed incorrectly or you have some sort of fancy grips with something attached to the end of it making them longer/wider. This info matters.

I used the Dominators for my first set of bars and they were pretty narrow at I want to say 31.5" Cheap too might want to have a look in to them. I think they were maybe $300. The taller 14" plus sizes (mine were 13's so no cable changes) can be bought pre-wired which is awesome.
