Anyone have any experience with KhromeWerks slipon mufflers. Quality, fitment and customer service. Looking maybe getting their mufflers for my 04 wideglide.
Thanks

Not firsthand. But I have yet to hear anything bad about them. Take a look at Moonshine, I believe they were getting really good numbers using them as part of a Header/Muffler combo. They were on my shortlist for the FW but I went with a 4" muffler instead.

Here’ the four choices of baffles for the pipes pictured above.
1) The rippers will be the most aggressive sound.
2) Followed by the louvered baffles
3) then the DB Killers. The louvered and DB Killers have dyno sheets posted and do extremely well, with the dbkiller being quieter of #2 and #3.
4) these will be most akin to stock

Regarding baffles, in setting up my winter gear I finally consented to buy a modular helmet, Shoei Neotec II. Half helmet just doesn’t get it for me below 45 degrees.

Even as quiet as the Shoei is, a loud-ish exhaust makes me feel like my head is in a 55 gallon drum.

I swapped back from louvered to the DB Killers for winter, because I’m planning some trips.

I had Full KW exhaust on my 19 Ultra Ltd Stage 2. First I had D&D 2 into 1. You want a constant headache, get those.
I switched to the KW with the Performance baffle (DB Killer). My torque came on almost instantly, and my headache was gone. I already have the same system on order for my ST. This time, I'm staying Stage 1 with the same baffles. I'm gonna be 69 next month. I don't need to be an attention getter anymore. BTW, I ride FF helmet 90% of the time now.

I know audio clips aren't great at giving you the true sound, but I know I want a more aggressive sound, and I know I can't deal with the ear splitting sound those Tab's were giving me. The stock baffles aren't terrible but not quite the sound I want.

I have the D$D and may be considering the KW next year. Is there a recommended head pipe that would go good with these? I have the TTS100 cam in my 2018.
The DND sounds great, but I was hoping to find something a bit deeper in tone. Heard a lot of good things here about KW, just haven’t heard them in a bike anywhere yet.

I ran the Grand National’s for a while and those gave me a headache when wearing a fullface helmet; that sound just reverberated in my helmet. It was awful. But I don’t get that with the DnD.

Back in 2020 our builder showed us several exhaust options...all name brands. When I saw the name Khrome Werks I was skeptical, as it just sounded very appearance oriented. I got straightened out on that pretty quick as they (builder) named KW as the best exhaust products they could find. They rolled a 114 equipped with KW 4.5 HP+ cans outside and started it up. I can still see my wife's eyes and the approval in them.

Our new bike was a Stage I (and professionally tuned) setup. Stock headers with cat in place. The KW cans held no inserts, and we thought they were loud...very bossy...but tolerable. In a few months we decided the volume needed to come down a bit so I installed the Louvered Performance Inserts. Excellent result with a reduction in sharp notes from the pipes, but likely gaining torque.

Stage II showed me how much impact a cam, cat-less headers and a tune have on exhaust volume. BIG increase in volume and much more aggressive 'pop' noticed. Fuel Moto advised me to consider going with KW's most restrictive insert to boost torque even more. I was concerned about losing that aggressively bossy (but not painful) sound, but went ahead with the Perforate Performance Inserts. These definitely knocked the volume back a touch but not the sound quality. I don't enjoy really noisy loud pipes and couldn't care less about impressing others or being noticed.

Damn...I love lighting the fire on this bike and just listening to the irregular idle cadence and deep authoritative gut-grabbing growl.
