Do you still have the bike in your possession or did you leave at the dealer? If it was me, I'd clear all the codes and start the bike to see how it runs and if any codes come back. Is there a tuner on the bike?

 

I left the bike at the dealer. Yes, I have a TTS on it since first picking up the bike in Nov 2011. Never had any problems.

I replaced Bars over 3 years ago and kept little green plug in. Never had a problem.

The is the first Tim is have blown codes.

 

Mine did that randomly a few times. First time I unplugged the induction module, plugged it back in and made it home where I cleaned and greased the connections. Second time, during the same week, it did it again. Killed it , let it sit, restarted and ran fine and made it home. Pulled codes and said it was the P0220 Throttle Position Sensor 2 Range, Error P0222 Throttle Position Sensor Open/Low among some other codes. I had the TPS replaced and no problems since.

 

Did the mechanic clear the codes after cleaning the plug to the induction module ?

 

The first time my bike went into limp mode my wife and I were on the way back to Oklahoma from California. The culprit was a broken wire in the harness that connects to the EFM. You couldn't see that the wire was broken because the sheath was covering it. I got us home by unplugging the harness and plugging it back in to the ECM. Sometimes we would get 5 miles, sometimes 20. That was a long day. Apparently the wiring harness and the bend where the harness connects to the ECM is a little too tight. Fast forward 8 months. My bike (2013, ultra) began going into limp mode shortly after I passed 22,000 miles. I got it to my local HD shop. They switched the tps out ( i have aftermarket bars) but that didn't solve it. The stator burned up, it was replaced... that didn't solve it. All pins in the wiring harness to the EFM were replaced to see if "fretting" was the issue.....nope! They replaced the EFM - nope. The voltage into the ECM was at spec but the voltage out of the ECM was variable? But I believe it has been fixed now. Apparently on the touring bikes there is a wire spliced in that would go to a jiffy stand sensor. On police bikes there is a jiffy stand sensor, on all other touring bikes the wire is just there and connected to nothing. They terminated that wire and wrapped it and (knock on wood) that seems to have solved it. the bike was in and out of the shop over a 3 month period. I'd ride it after a parts swap and it would go into limp mode again.

I want to give props to the Dealership Forman's Harley Davidson - Stillwater OK. my bike was out of warranty by a week when this all started and they did all of this parts and labor on "Good Faith".

 

oh yeah. I had a custom power vision map from Fuel Moto for my set up. When the ECM was changed I had to contact Dyno Jet and verify that the ECM had been switched. Dyno Jet sent me an "unlock" file to allow my PV to marry the new ECM and Fuel Moto sent me the needed map immediately. Both had great customer service

 

I'd clean up the plug, check the pins, add grease, clear codes and reset throttle then try it. If that isn't it read codes and then I would try a TPS. Next check continuity between sensor and module to find a broken wire.

 

I'm going to be at Dealer when they open tomorrow at 9AM to check all that out. I have a line on a new Induction module that is at another dealer about 35 minutes away, incase that is needed.

Need to get bike fixed as I'm already 24 hours behind schedule trying to get to Street Vibrations. Lol

 

Forget the induction module. You need a new bike.
Old Road Harley is open tomorrow; sales earlier than parts I would suspect...

 

Hey, Thanks for the suggestion. If I can't find the part, maybe they will take my bike in trade and I can get a 2016....Fresh canvas so that I can start spending $$ all over again!

I'll let you know how it turns out.

 

Update:

Purchased Induction Module kit 27200002 from Barger's HD and the service manager at Old Road had the bike torn apart waiting for me to arrive with the part. They had me out of there in an hour.

I was able to get on the road to join my Boys on South Lake Tahoe and enjoy Street Vibrations.
