Twenty years ago I went to every shop in town and they all used Handy lift tables. So that's what I bought. Love it and I'm sure it'll last twenty more.

You just can't beat HF for good low cost lifts and tables. Have one of each and they have worked great for 15 years for the lift and 12 years for the table. Put many touring bikes on the lift for washing, detailing and storage. Like to put bikes up if I'm not going to ride for a few days. Very fast to side under the bike and hit the foot pedal to raise off the ground. Easy to move w/ the bikes on lift. The table is easy to move, when bud's need to borrow for their rebuilds and tear downs, which is a double edged sword. New prices have more than doubled since buying mine but still best bang for the buck. That said, it would be nice to have a pro type shop and lift but not going to happen till I win the lottery.

I've had a craftsman lift that's done the job for 20 years. Used it for engine replacement once, along with all maintenance & cleaning duties. It's kind of a pain doing oil changes because the lift is in the way of placing a tray under drains but I've made it work.

Decided it's time to get a table. I've done a bunch of research and I'm going for the HF table which I feel will be fine for my use. I'm 6'4" so not worried about how narrow it is - with my long legs I can get the bike on-off no problem. I plan on putting a better wheel chock on front. With coupons I can get one for about $400.

I’m not an experienced wrench, basic maintenance is about the extent of my abilities, so I doubt I would use a table enough to justify one.

If You can afford it and are in no rush to receive it then by all means go with J&S Jacks | Motorcycle Lifts & Jacks | USA Made
Make sure to call them prior to ordering to get an idea as to when it will arrive.
Also, if You are a Veteran make sure to let them know so you receive a code for a 5% Discount.
I have had My J&S for a number of years and it is one very sturdy lift that I am never afraid to put My Glide on.
Best of Luck.

I use to have Handy Lifts & Direct Lifts over the years. Since I downsized from a Three car Garage to a Two Car Garage. Room was at a premium. So I sold the Direct Lift in a day for an excellent price as delivery in Calgary for Handy and Direct was over two months away and the price increased dramatically. I dug out my older Pit Bull Lift which I use for jobs requiring a more height and a Wheel Dock for other jobs.
Below is a pic of the Pit Bull. It can be pneumatic o

Just a FYI. Beware, if your renamed Chicom lift breaks on you, there are almost no parts to be had for them.

The lift cylinder seal blew in my Black Widow and I had one hell of a time getting a seal to fix it with. The BW lift is just a generic Chinese lift that American company's sell under a bunch of names. Direct Lift, and Weaver being a couple of the other names. They use a 150 mm air cylinder, which is pretty much Chinese only. The American equivalent is 5 inches and the EU uses 130mm, both working at higher pressures. And the way it mounts is particular to these lifts.

And to make things worse, the cylinder piston was changed in 18, and uses a wider seal now.

I was able to source a seal for the new piston, and then cut it down to fit my older piston. Had to pay through the nose for it. Needless to say, it failed with a scooter on the lift, raised and locked. So it ended up sitting there for a couple of weeks. And getting the cylinder out and back in was a PITA with the table a foot off of the floor.

The old seal failed on the side that carries the cast iron piston weight. Just wore a flat spot into it. So it will happen again. The new piston with a wider seal was probably done to provide more wear surface. But the new piston also came with a smaller piston rod, so they wont swap. And there is no availability on replacement cylinders at this time.

The old seal was just black buna. The new one was some kind of blue wonder material. I had a hell of a time cutting it down to fit the narrower groove.

I placed my order with J&S Jacks on June 22, 2021. Order number was 6005 for $760.15. They charged my credit card instantly but never delivered any product. Eventually I asked for a refund but never got that either. It is now May 31, 2022 and I am still waiting. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM J&S JACKS IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY. They have poor BBB ratings with multiple complaints of unfilled orders or refunds. Their BBB rating is 'F'. They just take you money and never deliver anything. It is a scam! https://www.bbb.org/us/wi/little-chute/profile/motorcycle-supplies/j-s-jacks-0694-1000008077
