I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a wide gap between HP and TQ. Wonder what cam is producing that.

@crazy4ink, you’ve seen more numbers than most…any insight?

I have seen gaps between HP and TQ. I just tuned a 131” that made 169 hp and 148 tq. It just depends on what is done to the engine.

@bigc1066 Since the tuner was able to connect to your Thundermax; was he able to find out what is in your bike? Is it a 128” or 132”? Cam? Injectors? Also keep in mind you are going from a Twin Cam to an M8 and they do ride different. These M8s like more rpms than Twinkies did. And on a side note, those big radius pipes are not helping your engine’s performance. M8s like more backpressure than Twinkies did.

Yeah the did tell me a little more about the internals Machanic said stock injection and manifold (suggested getting those done). No cam.

The stock injectors and manifold seem plausible and I would agree. But a stock cam with aftermarket cylinders and a Thundermax? I find it hard to believe someone would buy a $1,000 ECM and put aftermarket cylinders on to tune a bike with a stock cam.

I know it’s most likely to have a cam. I remember seeing one when I hooked laptop to the thunder max before taking it in. I just don’t remember what size or if it was correct due to it swing it had some things the Machanic said were not on there.
The tune said hit had a two- one exhaust but it definitely doesn’t.

I see you’re in Texas so make an appointment and take a putt to Cen Tex Harley Davidson and you won’t be disappointed.
