Riddle me this Batman....if they can't make Sedona Orange anymore because of the lack of pigment from Japan, how can they make the new Tequila Sunrise/ H-D Orange Street Glide??

I haven't seen another Sedona Orange RG in my area. There is a Road King in this color though and I have seen a Street Glide also.

It isnt the actual "orange" pigment that is lacking. It is a dry powder pearl pigment that gave the Sedona Orange that unique "TriStage" look. They stopped suuplying it because supposedly is was costing more to make that Harley was willing to pay. Automotive manufacturers i beleive have the rights to the pigment now. I think it is called a Xyrilic Pearl or something...

But with that being said, IM HAPPY THEY DONT HAVE IT ANYMORE!!!

According to my dealer, they are still able to order and receive S.O. parts (tour packs, lowers, etc) without any problem. Seems likely that HD figured out they were losing money painting bikes this color, but are still willing to paint P&A this color, since the margins are (I'm sure) quite different.
I think like many companies, the Japanese tsunami was a very convenient rationale for all manner of price changes/supply changes, etc. Not to be too much of a conspiracy theorist.......

It's gotta suck pulling up for gas and having a yuppie in a orange Kia strike up a conversation about how similar the paint is, and how much he likes it.
Happened to a friend o' mine.
