Hi. New member here. Picked up a 13 road glide custom and the saddle bag fell off and has some road rash. Looking for a good local painter.

This is the candy orange color.

Thanks for any suggestions

Jeff

The bat signal has been activated and I am responding.

@Procross225 where are you located? I'm down in Lakeville and every part of my bike has been painted except for the tank and tourpak. There's a few guys around that can shoot it but what you have going for you is timing. Since riding season is coming to a close up here, ride out the rest of the month and then bring it to a painter for winter work.

A fella named Donny out of cottage grove did my front fender but he was just dx with lung cancer so he's not going to be painting anytime soon. He works for a hot rod shop down in that area.

Had some other work done by a guy over in Hudson, not impressed, would not recommend.

The dude that did most of my bike was Smitty (Brad Smith) up in Sioux Falls who ended up owning The Factory Match. He sold it to a new fella named Josh. Does great work but the added expense of shipping that big box up to Sioux Falls coupled with the relatively high price of the paint estimate nudged me to go a different direction. Donny painted the fender for $600 (two tone/three stage, plus pinstripe) where this fella was at $675. Both outrageous in my opinion.

Can't remember the guys name but works out of Bodywerks in Elko. He painted the rear fender on my 67 FLH and did an AMAZING job but it took seven fkn months. He works on alot of the old classic HDs but he's super capable.

Jeff Urman out of Forest Lake area. Find him on FB. Never used him but his reputation is phenomenal. Look up Deadline Customs.

Gilby's Street Department Home | Gilby's Street Department. You're gonna pay for this painter. This fella aint cheap. He's in Hudson WI

The one I think I'll recommend today is a fella named Danny, shoot me a message and I'll give you his number....not sure he wants his personal cell out on the interwebs. He just did a color match on a buddies Indian who coincidentally had the same situation where his bag fell off and it was all beat to hell. Came back and legit you can't even tell there was damage. Be clear, I have not used this guy but I've seen his work and it's flawless. He also turned it around insanely fast. He's up in North Branch.

So I'd say depending on where you're at, Danny I think is on the north side, Bodywerks is on the southern side. Both will do well. Danny will be the fastest. I've seen his work and it's excellent. Bodywerks in Elko will do a great job but don't expect it back before Christmas. He did phenomenal work on the 67 and I'll use him for anything pre-1970 that I have painted because he knows how to layout the stock paint colors and tank graphics.

So there you go friend. There's the comprehensive list of MN painters.

Welcome to the forum and if your near Lakeville stop by and say hello sometime! Congrats on the new bike and get rid of those silly pins on your bags and put some allen bolts in there so we don't have a repeat of a bag falling off.

I am just across the border and there is a great paint shop in Chippewa Falls WI. It is funny, cause I had St. Croix Harley change my back rubber and they gave it back to me and on my way home my bag fell off doing about 65. Looked very similiar to yours. They paid for it, but told me they send all their work to the place in Chippewa. Came back perfect and I later went there to get some other paint done on the new bike. They are just an hr East of Hudson. If the other suggestions don't pan out, let me know and I will find the exact name. and welcome!
