Agreed UltraNutZ, for obvious reasons on rear lids!
Side note: It's interesting how many responses came from those who haven't tried a set. We can supply customer feedback attesting to the "difference" and have definitely tried them. That's not challenging anyone, just offering a very informed opinion.
Our forward facing lid design fires the sound forward up into the fairing "pocket" and actually reinforces the front sound stage! With proper investment in speakers and amp (as you get what you pay for, or you return it), you will know the difference at speed, legal and beyond! Assuming your not running a dental floss windshield and say... Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes (V&H), which is exactly what we have on our '09 FLTRI demo bike and although the system will compete with it, it's way too much sensory overload. Wind, exhaust and road noise, topped with a super loud stereo = hearing loss!
That is a 'Great' way of xplaining the saddlebag lids!
REINFORCING the front sound stage.
Your,...'Pocket' of sound , in the 'Cockpit' is nothing but XCELLENT!
People have said, that 'The Rider' cant hear the 'Bass' w/the addition of , any of these saddlebag lid configurations.
'I' for one can contest that, if you know the bass line ( what the bass player is actually doing , in the song) you will hear it!
Its just like in ur Car, or ur Home. The Rear Channel, ( as in saddlebag lids) for a Rider, does add a tremendous AMOUNT of Sound, properly AMPED UP!
Allong w/a Mod to the Inner Fairing, as the addition of 2 X-Tra speakers on the inner part, and the saddlebag lids, all , properly amped , the pocket of sound is Fantastic!
Its what , has been needed for a L-O-N-G Time , when it comes to 'Stereo' sound on these types (RoadGlides) of Motorcycles to get a Decent Amount of Sound to Compete w/the Elements.
