What does everyone do with their stock take off exhaust? I have zero miles on my 2012 RGC take off exhaust - Head pipe and mufflers. Do folks sell these or simply add them to the pile next time you go to the scrap yard?

I kept mine. With the political climate the way it is there is a possibility of inspections in the future (look to California). Also, should I desire to sell my bike I can return it to stock (I kept my stock seat) and resell the aftermarket take-offs. The stock take-off exhaust is not worth the trouble to pack and ship it. JMO.

I kept mine. I kept the stock exhaust from my Softail when I bought it in 99 for years as well then one day realized I had almost 2 sets of take offs... from one bike! Sold it all on eBay. Amazing what people will pay for. Made around $1500 for parts that were just collecting dust. So no, I wouldn't toss em, if'n you're gonna do that, I'll gladly pay the shipping to take them off your hands! :D

I'm telling you - people buy that stuff. Many folks out there either want to keep their bike completely stock & need a new exhaust or got rid of their stock exhaust and now want to go back to stock. I think I got $200 for my softail stockers on eBay & it was a quick sale. No telling why but someone out there wants em. Could be they want to gut the cat & keep an unmolested set just in case - who knows?
