I would get in touch first hand with Super Shox and ask for their input. I'd think they could cover your criteria without a hassle.

 

Agree with BH#103. Call Brian at Super Shox and talk to him about your needs and weights. The Super Shox made a huge difference on my 2015, but I don't ride 2 up or tow a trailer. 847.548.7469

 

Thanks for the info guys. I'll give them a call. I've had lots of progressive on my other bikes. But they have never been known for their smoothness over the bumps. Lots of good things written here about the supershox.

I know this post is a little old, but I went with the heavy springs, I'm a fat bastard. I have my preload at 1.5, the ride is perfect. I talked to Brian and he recommended the heavy springs as I doubt I will ever go below 275 lbs. I now have room to load it down. With the load you described the heavy spring is the way to go and you will still have room to add weight.
