Do not order from West End Motor Sports.

Just because they list it on their site doesn’t mean they have it and once you order it, they’ll tell you so.

Oh wow - did not know that.
Thanks for the tip.

This looks like a good deal, but I never heard of this company.

Dang it, I'm late again. I have a FM 2/1/2 w/KW 4.5"s with the louvered baffles, let me figure out how to attach a video and you'll havea sound clip.
I've since removed them for a FM 2/1 RTX, so they are on my shelf waiting for a buyer.
I have a 475c cam, so it wasn't playing nice with the setup, it was much better after adding the louvered baffles though. But don't get the 475, get the 22XE if you do a cam.

I just got a pair of used 4.5 mufflers with the louvered baffle (I think) from a member here.
These are definitely quieter than the Grand Nationals I've been running for the past week. At least, from the driveway test I did; didn't have a chance to ride the bike yet.

So, If I get the Perforate Performance baffle it will be even quieter?

Here's the baffle that is in the mufflers...

Yep, that's the louvered baffle.

I thought the perforate performance was slightly quieter than that one, but maybe it's just me.

I believe it is quieter. I might just get the Ripper to see what it's all about. I'm probably going to get some new tips for mine too.

The difference in sound between the louvered and perforate is only incremental, but since I bought a Neotec II modular helmet recently for winter (versus wearing a half helmet) I notice less droning with the Perforate Performance.

My terminology would be 'less loud'....but it's a very subtle difference imo. The Ripper is loud and aggressive. I heard them on a stock 114 (with cat, no mods) at a dealer. With no helmet on or ear protection they were painful to me when the engine was revved hard.

I have heard of guys cutting the louvered baffles down to around 8"-9" to get a louder sound. Not sure how that would affect the back pressure.

Ride report:
Rode for about 75 miles and I must say, I am overall very pleased with these mufflers. I probably don't need the Ripper baffles, but I might get them just to compare. They are definitely quieter than the Grand Nationals, and deeper. But they do have a really deep bark to them when you roll on that throttle. They sound good rolling off the throttle too.

Defintiely worth the money. BTW, running these in a 107 with a TTS100 cam and air filter; Power Vision tune from Fuel Moto.

I run the ripper baffles. For comparison, they're less loud than running the pipes without baffles. Rippers won't make the pipes louder - just add a little backpressure and change the exhaust note some (not as deep in my opinion).
