Just purchased my 4th Neo Tech, and it is most diffidently larger. All of mine have been the largest they have had. Great helmet, chin strap is a little tight on this new one, but easy on and off.
Two of the 4 I have had hit the pavement very hard (trust me it was hard), I felt both of the hits but my brains stayed intact. Because of the hard hits Ive taken with this helmet, I purchase a new helmet every 3 yrs of so- regardless.
I may actually set this one up to listen to music, I don't like the idea of talking to people while I'm riding-so I won't go there.

The only thing I dont like about my neo-2 is the weight. Great helmet for all purposes but heavy. I'm gonna go try on a Klim carbon K1200 I think it is. Its showing 3.1 in size medium where the neo-2 is 4.1.

Believe me, I have. My HJC is the only modular I found that would fit. It is a 4X. My half is a Fulmer and a 4X as well. When I say I have a big head I mean it.
I have the same problem... one of the downsides to being 6ft 8in tall I guess.
I was also in an HJC in 4XL (IS-MAX II) and had to replace it due to age. Ended up trying on (or tried to try on in many cases) several helmets from 2XL to 4XL, and ended up going with a Bell SRT Modular in 3XL.
The fit is just on the snug side of perfect, but I expect it to get better once it's fully broken in. So far, it's definitely quieter than the HJC, and I like Bell's location of the internal sunscreen lever on the left jawline as opposed to the top-back of the HJC (plus the sunscreen has little tabs on the bottom edge that you can use to slide it down without using the lever), and the nose cutout leaves enough clearance so that it isn't scraping the top of my nose at all. There's also more room between the Bell helmet's chin-piece and my actual chin... I could actually touch the HJC's just by jutting my jaw forward or pursing my lips.
While there are a few things that could be improved, overall, I'm VERY happy with the Bell considering the price and the limited choices big-heads like us have. You might want to check one out next time you're in the market for a helmet.

I will have to look at that. No one ever stocks the Bell 3x. I may have to try to order one from someone who has a good return policy. The Scorpion Exo 3/4 comes in 3x and that one works. I had a 2x till I crashed. It was a little snug but now learned they have a 3x in flat black.

Got mine thru Revzilla which has free shipping (on purchases over $40), no restock fees, AND they price match.

Got mine thru Revzilla which has free shipping both ways (on purchases over $40), no restock fees, AND they price match.
I tried doing that last year when I was trying to replace a helmet damaged in a crash. You have to pay return shipping so each helmet I tried cost me about $8

For those of you with the Neo 2
How is the side (periphal) vision on these? I wore the Harley modular which is made by HJC and hated it couldn't see to the sides. I have good side vision, which has helped to keep me out of trouble.
Just wondering and yes I have looked at em but not got my hands on one yet.

Thanks

You're right; I "misremembered" that you have to pay $8 for their UPS label, but in most cases that's cheaper than paying "the carrier of your choice" their weight-based/size-based rate.

I find the side vision quite good - agree that’s a concern and think the N2 is ok

Question for all:

I have a question for you about the Neotec II in cold weather.

When you use this helmet in cold weather, when you close the vents, do you still have cold air circulating inside the helmet?

I am new to modular full-face helmets and have previously ridden only a ¾ or a standard full-face helmet.

I was assuming that when I close the vents I should no longer be able to feel cold air circulating inside, but I still feel cool air on my forehead. It is not horrible in 45 degree weather, but much cooler and I could see it being uncomfortable.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

I have ridden with mine when it's cold (well cold for me is under 50). The chin curtain does a good job of keeping the cold air out and with the vents closed it is a comfortable ride. My hands get cold but never my melon!

I had my first ride today with my new Neotec 2. It is the first helmet I have ever had that actually fits my large melon. I hear people say its heavy but I didn't feel it in the 150 miles I put on today but maybe I will feel it on longer days. My only problem is that I can't use my wired HD headset. I can mount the mic but the speaker cutouts are too small for the speakers. Not sure what I am going to do. Probably going to sell my nearly new Bell SRT modular in 3xl if anyone is interested. I used it for 500 miles but it was actually a little too big for me.

I have the Neotech 1 and really have liked it except it has a deep drone/hum at road speed if I don’t wear hearing protection. The sound seems to come from the rear neck area. I’ve been looking at the N2 for a couple of weeks now and the specs and tests results indicate it is noticeably quieter. Any input on the sound. I’m not excited about the SRL because it’s older Sena technology.

I have had my Neotec 2 for a few months now and I must say I really, really like this helmet. This is my first modular and I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I am really happy with this purchase.

Any of you guys that wear a full face might want to at least try one out. I am no expert but I will offer my humble observations:

THE GOOD:

Really easy to put on with the flip front folded up, especially if you wear earplugs or earbuds
Helmet liner and cheek pads come in 3 sizes for a perfect fit
The sunscreen works great so I don't wear sunglasses any more
Flipping up the front gives some great relief at long lights when it is hot or when making a quick stop for gas no need to remove your full face helmet
Approved to ride with the front flipped up, which one might do in certain situations
Really well made, comes with pinlock insert
Relatively quiet, especially with the chin curtain in place (but not as quiet as my GT Air was)
I like the quick release chin strap
Works great with my non-integrated Sena bluetooth mike and speakers

THE BAD:

Position of the chin strap is a little close to my neck
Charlie Brown head - it's big so expect that
Airflow could be better, so I usually leave the face shield at the first stop
Price is a little over the top, especially if you want a model with graphics

Overall it is a winner for me, I like the protection of a full face helmet and this is a nice compromise between comfort and safety. I would be interested to know what others think who have tried one out.

DUDE!!

I could not agree with you more. Spot on as if I wrote it myself, including riding with the visor up one click to cool down the face. 100%

Haven't had any issues with perif vision
