I’ve been using the Neotec2 for about a year. It’s my go to full face helmet. I generally don’t use it when it’s hot outside.

This is a very good point. I could add to my initial review that airflow could be better. I have one other modular helmet, the Simpson Mod Bandit. That helmet is lighter and noisier than the Neotec 2 and my go-to helmet when it is hot - the airflow is much better than the Neotec 2. So if you live where it is hot a lot of the year you might want something else to wear besides the N2.

Has anyone been able to mount the Cardo PACKTALK BOLD or PACKTALK Slim headsets to the Neotec 2?

I have the pactalk bold on mine. No issues

Question for all:

I have a question for you about the Neotec II in cold weather.

When you use this helmet in cold weather, when you close the vents, do you still have cold air circulating inside the helmet?

I am new to modular full-face helmets and have previously ridden only a ¾ or a standard full-face helmet.

I was assuming that when I close the vents I should no longer be able to feel cold air circulating inside, but I still feel cool air on my forehead. It is not horrible in 45 degree weather, but much cooler and I could see it being uncomfortable.

Thoughts?

The NEOTEC 2 is great in cold weather. The biggest concern I always have is with fogging. The pinlock fog shield works very well. Regarding the vents, I close both of them and ensure that the faceshield is completely closed.

Yeah, rode with it with windchill in the 30s. It didn't feel cold with it and had 0 fog. I love mine, but the integrated Sena is crap on mine.
Even though it isn't as safe as a true full face, it gives me more piece of mind than something with no chin bar.
It is heavy, but I'm used to it. I never get a hint of buffet...turning my head...looking down...normal.
